Elmer Ramos joined the Leeds School faculty in 2020 after a 25-year career in the consumer products industry. He held marketing leadership and general management roles with companies spanning from Fortune 200 to post-startup, in both domestic and international markets. Most notably, he spent 15 years with General Mills, where he managed worldwide brands including Cheerios, Nature Valley and Nestle.

Elmer’s teaching portfolio reflects – and draws from – this rich experience: marketing strategy, P&L management, brand development, product innovation and international business. He has received the Leeds School’s 2026 Dean’s Teaching Award and ODA Faculty Impact Award, and CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Marinus Smith Award.

Elmer earned his B.S. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Beyond the classroom, he is a dedicated golfer, inveterate reader and easygoing traveler.
