Engineering Center hosts 2nd Lab Cleanup Event.ÌýWould you like your lab building to be next?

. Over 800 laboratory items and over 1000 chemicals were removed from lab spaces across three large campus lab buildings (Ramaley, Porter, and Gold) in collaboration with key campus partners (Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), Property Services, Property Accounting, property managers, building managers, researchers, I&R Sustainability).

This summer we are bringing the event back to a new lab building, the Engineering Center. The goal is to redistribute useful items on campus and improve lab space utilization by providing lab members with a simplified and fast process to purge items they no longer need from their research labs.Ìý

Drop-off locations are staffed for several weeks by student employees of Green Labs. Accepted items include instruments, equipment, supplies, glassware, furniture, electronics, chemicals and other lab items.

To drop off an item, lab members must:

  • complete an EH&S Green Tag StickerÌý
  • fill out an online form to provide information on the item being dropped off

If you would like to see a future Lab Cleanup event held in your lab building, reach out to greenlabs@colorado.edu.
