Merinda provides strategic leadership for the faculty and academic leadership development programs offered by the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA). She advances these programs and supervises OFA faculty fellows who coordinate the Across CU Mentoring (ACUMent), Faculty Leadership Institute (FLI), Leadership Education for Advancement and Promotion (LEAP), Thriving at CU, and Teaching and Clinical Faculty programs that cultivate the knowledge, skills and competencies that faculty and academic leaders need to be effective in their work. Merinda coordinates our annual Academic Leaders Institute (ALI) workshop series, ALI New and Returning Leaders Orientation, and ALI Fall Summit.ÌýShe is CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s faculty liaison to the CU System-wide Excellence in Leadership Program for academic leaders.Ìý

Merinda tenured in 2012 at Colorado State University, joined CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ in 2017, and was promoted to full professor in 2022. She is a faculty member in the University Libraries, where she serves as Health & Human Sciences Librarian and has provided leadership and supervision for faculty and staff. Merinda has previously worked at Colorado State University, the University of Montana, and the University of Alberta. She holds a B.A. History in Art from the University of Victoria and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from The University of British Columbia.Ìý
