April 20, 2026: Partial traffic impacts begin on Folsom Street near Colorado Avenue and will continue through July 15, 2026. Traffic will be reduced to a single shared lane in the work zone, with turn lanes temporarily combined. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

Construction activities will have partial traffic impacts beginning on Folsom Street near Colorado Avenue related to the university's chilled water line project.

Friday, July 31
Colorado Avenue will reopen to eastbound and westbound traffic with temporary pavement striping.

Friday, August 7
Colorado Avenue will be milled from the gates east through the east side of the Folsom Street and Colorado Avenue intersection. Traffic will be reduced to one lane during the work, but both eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained. The mill and overlay limits are shown in red:

Saturday, August 8
The milled section will be paved and striped.

August 7 through September 5
The sidewalk, bike lane, and crosswalk on the north side of Colorado Avenue will remain closed throughout this work and will not reopen until the Chilled Water project is complete, currently anticipated in early September.

A project on campus will close Regent Drive, between the Event Center and Engineering Drive, nightly from 6:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. August 3 through August 8, 2026.

Traffic Impacts:
Regent Drive will be closed nightly (6:00 PM to 5:00 AM) for the installation of the CHW piping. Normal traffic patterns resume during the day from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Drivers will be able to detour around the closure through Lot 420 and 440.

Starting May 26, 2026, Farrand Residence Hall will undergo a major renovation expected to last just over two years. During construction, access will be limited on Baker Drive north of Farrand Hall, Wardenburg Drive will be impacted, and the road just west of Farrand Hall will be closed to public access. Pedestrian and vehicle patterns in the area may shift, and four ADA parking spaces on Baker Drive will be relocated to the parking lot north of Farrand Field. Nearby buildings—including Farrand, Libby, and Aden Halls—will remain accessible, but visitors should plan for extra time and follow posted signage. Thank you for your patience as we improve this campus residential space.

Proposed Chemistry and Applied Mathematics Facility (design subject to change)

CU �ֲ��ý is constructing a new academic facility aimed at advancing research and educational opportunities in chemistry and applied mathematics on the southeast side of the Business School Field along Regent Drive on Main Campus. The facility will host modern research laboratories for chemistry, applied mathematics and specialized quantum research, supporting research missions in analytical spectroscopy, environmental chemistry and computational mathematics.
