EcoReps

Sustainability Starts at Home.

EcoReps are first-year and transfer students who dedicate themselves to a year-long leadership program focused on sustainability, environmental responsibility, and peer education within residential communities.Ìý

Through workshops, field trips, volunteer opportunities, leadership development experiences, and hands-on sustainability initiatives, EcoReps gain valuable skills in advocacy, collaboration, and community engagement. Members then share this knowledge with their residence hall communities through peer-to-peer programming, conversations, and sustainability-focused initiatives that create positive change across campus.Ìý

Mission & Values

EcoReps develops student leaders within sustainability through specialized workshops, programming, experiential learning opportunities, and volunteer experiences. Pre-Arrival Leadership Experience

EcoReps begins with an immersive pre-arrival program designed to help students build community, develop leadership skills, and explore sustainability before the academic year begins.Ìý

  • Move in early on August 14Ìý
  • Participate in the full Pre-Arrival Program from August 14–17Ìý
  • Connect with fellow student leaders before the start of the semesterÌý
  • Explore sustainability initiatives across campus and the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ communityÌý

  • Maintaining educational eco-bulletin boardsÌý
  • Developing and implementing sustainability initiatives within residential communitiesÌý
  • Participating in service opportunities and sustainability-focused projectsÌý

How To Get Involved

EligibilityÌý

Students interested in EcoReps must:Ìý

  • Be a first-year student living in the residence halls or a transfer studentÌý
  • Commit to participating for the full academic yearÌý
  • Move into their housing assignment on Aug. 14Ìý
  • Participate in the full Pre-Arrival Program from Aug. 14–17Ìý
  • Be available for weekly meetings on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m.

  • EcoReps meetings occur weekly, Tuesdays from 6–7 p.m.Ìý
  • Engagement with Residence Hall Association Community Councils within residential neighborhoodsÌý
