Indemnification
The State of Colorado authorized specific entities within the state to accept indemnification. The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) at the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is not authorized to provide indemnity on awards that are accepted under OCG’s authority.
CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is a nonprofit, public, and governmental institution of higher education with a primary focus on academics and research. CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ cannot cover a sponsor’s loss. CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ shall be responsible for its ownnegligent acts or omissions as covered under CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s self-insurance policy.
