Join us forÌýFirst-Generation Student Orientation on Sunday, Aug. 16!ÌýThe day will be filled with informational sessions and opportunities to connect withÌýother first-generation students on campus.

First-Generation Scholarship Program Welcome

For First-Generation Scholarship recipients along with their families and supporters

First-Generation Scholarship Program Welcome is designed specifically for students who have been awarded the First-Generation Scholarship at CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. This session provides an opportunity to connect with fellow scholars, meet program staff and learn about the resources and support available through the First-Generation Scholarship Program.

Students will receive important information about scholarship expectations, renewal requirements, engagement opportunities, program communications and key resources that can support their success throughout the academic year.

During this session, students will:

  • Meet First-Generation Scholarship Program staff
  • Connect with other scholarship recipients
  • Learn about scholarship requirements and renewal expectations
  • Explore first-generation resources and opportunities
  • Discover ways to get involved and stay connected throughout the year
  • Ask questions before the semester begins

For first-generation students and their families

Whether you're new to CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ or looking to strengthen your connection to the first-generation community, this session is for you. First-generation students—including incoming, transfer and continuing students—along with their families and supporters, are invited to learn about the programs, resources and community available through First-Generation Programs & Enrichment.

Participants will connect with other first-generation students, hear from current students and families and learn how to stay engaged in the first-generation community throughout the year.

During this session, participants will:

  • Connect with fellow first-generation students and families
  • Learn about campus resources and support services
  • Discover first-generation events, programs and opportunities
  • Hear insights and advice from current students and families
  • Explore ways to build community and get involved at CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½
