God Save Me, JPG or PNG? is a narrative/surreal/experimental short film about a young woman whose frozen computer resurrects a fragmented relationship, sending her through memory and dissociation as she confronts the aftermath of an abusive bond and reclaims her sense of self.
Elena Fisher is a filmmaker from New Jersey who can do it all. With her first time directing and producing a narrative short, she also has experience in documentary, photography, audio production, and comedy reality television shorts. Her work explores themes of duality of femininity, contrast, and cinematic artistry. She has collaborated with women filmmakers across Colorado on a documentary highlighting underrepresented voices, done freelance work with women entrepreneurs, and interned with the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ County Film Commission supporting outreach and research for Sundance Film Festival relocation efforts. She aims to become a television and reality producer while continuing to create.

The young female protagonist sits at her computer, clearly depressed and anxious after an abusive relationship. When a video from her past resurrects, she is pulled into her screen and her reality flips, leaving her unsure of what is real. She moves through a fragmented world of fast-paced editing, memories, and distorted moments with her abuser as timelines blur and overlap. Her reality shifts back and forth until a knocking at her door grows louder and more overwhelming. At her breaking point, she is forced to confront everything she has been avoiding. Through a cinematic and surreal lens, the film follows her emotional unraveling and journey toward reclaiming her sense of power and identity, bringing awareness to abusive relationships and the lasting aftermath of domestic violence.
