CU �ֲ���ý Provost Ann Stevens will join academic leaders from Colorado State University and the University of Northern Colorado, along with high-tech leaders from key sectors of northern Colorado’s economy at a special forum at UNC in Greeley on the morning of Aug. 4.��

Hosted by the northern Colorado business publication BizWest, the�� will be a half-day session that includes guest speakers from tech sectors like laser fusion, aerospace, bioscience and quantum, and a forum with higher ed leaders focusing on the challenges and opportunities for Colorado’s higher education institutions to impact the state’s economy.��

“I’m looking forward to joining my colleagues from our state’s higher education system to talk about the exciting things on the horizon for Colorado’s economy,” said Stevens. “There are inspiring stories to tell about our students in the workforce, tech spinoffs arising from CU �ֲ���ý research, and the partnerships among our institutions that transform lives and our economy,” said Stevens.

BizWest Owner and Publisher Jeff Nuttall said the forum is designed to explore, among a variety of topics, the role and impact that CU �ֲ���ý, Colorado State University, the University of Northern Colorado and the state’s community colleges have on workforce development, as well as the role that CU and CSU play in “creating a symbiotic relationship with our federal laboratories in Colorado.”

“We like to highlight this for our public and private sector leaders who read us every day: that this is an important ecosystem,” said Nuttall.��

The panel will be moderated by Ann Hutchinson, president and CEO of the Fort Collins area Chamber Commerce.
