Vice President Joe Biden will visit CU-�ֲ���ý next week to deliver a speech on the importance of preventing sexual assault on college campuses across the country. The Office of the Vice President chose to visit CU-�ֲ���ý due to our strong efforts to support the “It’s On Us” campaign denouncing sexual violence and encouraging bystanders to be more effective in prevention efforts.

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit the �ֲ���ý June 23 after health issues derailed a previous visit scheduled last October, CU-�ֲ���ý student and local Tibetan leaders announced today.</span></p>

<p>Renowned culinary and cultural historian Michael Twitty will speak at CU-�ֲ���ý on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. During the event, which is presented by the Cultural Events Board and is free and open to the public, Twitty will discuss the ties between food, culture and freedom. Tickets will be available at the door.</p>

<p>Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak will engage in a lively talk organized and moderated by students at 7 p.m. Monday, April 4, in Macky Auditorium, the Cultural Events Board and Conference on World Affairs Student Group announced today.</p>
<p>Wozniak’s talk doubles as the keynote presentation for the 68^thConference on World Affairs to be held April 4 to 8.</p>

<p>Join your fellow students, staff, faculty and administration for the spring Diversity Summit Thursday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m.  to 5 p.m. in Kittredge Central and the Champions Center. The summit will focus on “Going Beyond II: Deepening the Dialogue” and will emphasize intergroup dialogues, caucuses hosted by the Chancellor’s Advisory Committees on issues relevant to campus, contemporary teach-ins, and inclusive excellence facilitations. The goal of the Spring Summit is to begin to have dialogues for achieving continuous social change.</p>

<p>International bestselling author, journalist and columnist Naomi Klein will visit CU-�ֲ���ý on Thursday, March 3, to give the talk “This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate.” The talk, which is free to CU-�ֲ���ý community members with a valid Buff OneCard and $5 for members of the public, will begin at 7 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. Tickets will be available at the door.</p>

<p><span>Drawing on cutting-edge behavioral research and observations from his global travels, CU-�ֲ���ý Associate Professor Peter McGraw reveals the secrets to what makes things funny and how to live a more humorous life. Bring your funny bone! Saturday, Feb. 13, 2 to 4 p.m. Butcher Auditorium, Biotechnology Building. Free and open to the public.</span></p>

<p>Tickets for the Edward Snowden video chat on Tuesday, Feb. 16, will go on sale at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 1 in the UMC dining area across from the Alferd Packer Grill.</p>

<p>Join fellow students, faculty, staff and administrators on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 4 to 5:30 p.m., in the UMC Aspen Rooms, for a creative research presentation and facilitated small group conversations about racial and ethnic inclusion at CU-�ֲ���ý. The purpose of this event is to bring different members of the campus together to discuss what inclusion means and discuss implications for policies and practices on the CU-�ֲ���ý campus.</p>
