Sustainability & Social Change

In 1976, a small group of passionate CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students ran a DIY recycling operation out of two decommissioned military trailers. Now, 50 years later, CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is celebrating the anniversary of campus recycling: a program that has evolved with the times and remains a powerful example of the partnership and collaboration that make real change possible.

Red sunflowers are reaching toward the sky across ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€”on campus, in community gardens and in backyards—planted months ago with seeds shared through CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s One Seed program. The blooms arrive in a fitting moment as CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ celebrates its 150th anniversary.Ìý
