All students need to demonstrate strong English language skills to succeed in CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s rigorous academic environment, and international applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency before enrolling into their academic program.
- You may satisfy English proficiency requirements before or after being reviewed for admission; however, English proficiency scores must be on file for scholarship consideration.
- If you wish to be reviewed for first-year student scholarships, submit proof of English proficiency with your application for admission and no later than the regular decision deadline.
- If you apply for admission without English language test scores and are admitted to CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, you must submit evidence of English proficiency or enroll in the Pathway to CU Program before you can confirm your place in the incoming class.
- CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ reserves the right to require proof of English proficiency, or an alternative means of demonstrating English proficiency, from any applicant.

- You must have completed your studies within two calendar years of your start date at CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
- Medium of instruction letters alone do not satisfy English proficiency requirements. Your studies must have been completed in one of the qualifying countries listed below.

Conditional Admission
CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ offers conditional admission to international students who meet the academic requirements for admission but need to improve their English language skills before starting a degree program. Students granted conditional admission are allowed to start their degree program after they have met the requirement for English proficiency.
You may pursue conditional admission by applying to CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ without submitting English proficiency scores and then registering for the Pathway to CU Program.
