Graduate Student Anthropology Collections Assistant
Position: Graduate Student Anthropology Collections Assistant
Hourly Pay Rate: $30
Position Summary:
The Graduate Student Collections Assistant supports the Anthropology Section at the CU Museum of Natural History. This position provides hands-on experience in museum collections management.
Primary responsibilities:
- Data entry into Re:Discovery Proficio
- Provenience research and cataloging of bison bones
- Rehousing bison bones in archival materials
- Assisting with building shelving, collections move
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment as a graduate student in the Museum & Field Studies Certificate or graduate program
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and follow protocols
- Strong communication skills
- Interest in museum collections work
Preferred Qualifications:Ìý
- Completion of coursework in Museum Collections management
- Prior experience working with rehousing, cataloging, data entry
- Knowledge of best practices in collections management
Work Schedule & Compensation:
- 15 – 20 hours per week, flexible
- Compensation: $30/hour
