Buffalo Bicycle Classic Online Auction
Bid for a great cause! The Buffalo Bicycle Classic Online Auction will be open September 8–11, featuring a variety of items and experiences. Every winning bid helps fund scholarships for high-achieving Colorado students with financial need to attend CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Support student success while finding something special for yourself or a fellow cycling fan. A link to the online auction for previewing the items will be available soon.
CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Movie Night: No Hands: The Wild Ride of the Schwinn Bicycle Company
Join us on Monday, September 21 at CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™s Muenzinger Auditorium for a special screening of No Hands: The Wild Ride of the Schwinn Bicycle Company. This documentary explores the history, rise, and decline of one of America's most iconic bicycle brands through archival footage and interviews. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Buffalo Bicycle Classic Scholarship Fund, helping support scholarships for CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students. Steps on How to Be a Successful Fundraiser
1. Create Your BBC Fundraising Page
Go to our . Select “Become a Fundraiser†and follow the steps to set up your personal fundraising page.
2. Personalize Your Page
Make your page your own!
- Add a photo of yourself.
- Share your story and explain why you want to raise money for the BBC Scholarship Fund, which helps students attend CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
- Tell people why this cause matters to you and what your personal connection is.
Your page already includes information about the BBC Scholarship Fund, including:
- Celebrating its 24th year
- Supporting 450+ scholars
- Raising over $4.3 million
You’ll also receive a personal fundraising link you can easily share with family and friends.
3. Make the First Donation
Consider making a donation to your own page. It shows your commitment and helps kick off your fundraising momentum—the fundraising has officially begun!
4. Reach Out to 5–10 Friends and Family
Start with your inner circle.
- Send individual emails or messages.
- Keep them short, personal, and genuine.
- Include the link to your fundraising page (from RunSignup).
- Remember: they haven’t been asked yet, and many people are happy to say yes.
Every donation—no matter the amount—makes a difference.
5. Follow Up and Say Thank You
Thank everyone who donates and let them know how much you appreciate their support. Set a fundraising goal, track your progress, and remember: every dollar brings you closer to helping a student succeed at CU ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½.
